    If you love working with children, this is the program for you!  The Early Childhood Education program prepares you to work effectively with children up to 12 years of age by providing you a practical approach to child care and early childhood learning. In the Early Childhood Education program, you will learn how to design programs and educational activities for children. You will also develop valuable skills in communication and team building. In addition, you will learn about child development, family systems and building relationships with children. Work place safety is also covered. You will also have opportunities to apply your knowledge and gain first-hand experience in the workplace when you participate in two work terms.  After graduation from the Early Childhood Education program, you may go on to work in preschools, day care centers, home child care and other child care settings.

    Do you envision yourself as a business leader? The Financial Management program is designed to respond to the financial needs of the ever-changing marketplace.     • Medical Office Assistant
    The Medical Administrative program facilitates the development of clerical skills and introduces students to clinical procedures, Alberta Health Care billing transactions, medical transcription and medical terminology. The 900-hour program combines lectures, hands-on learning via practical exercises, projects and exams, group discussions, on-line progress checks for immediate feedback, and courseware that is easy to understand.

    Nursing Assistant
    This program prepares the student to work as a nursing assistant in a variety of public and private health institutions. Taking into consideration the major changes in the health sector and the obvious lack of qualified personnel, this domain offers numerous job opportunities both full-time and part-time.     Personal Support Worker
    Not only is health care one of the most rewarding career paths but it’s also one of the most in demand! If you are interested in a career as a caregiver, the Personal Support Worker program at CDI College will help you develop the knowledge, skills and values to be successful in this rewarding field. The Personal Support Worker program at CDI College combines theoretical and practical training in classrooms and labs so you build a solid knowledge base and relevant skills to work with patients and residents who require care. You will study human development and common diseases that may affect patients. You will learn about professional ethics, hygiene and asepsis as well as communication and teamwork. In addition, you will learn the techniques to assist clients living in hospital environments, extended care facilities and psychiatric settings. First Aid and occupational health and safety are also covered. As a graduate of the Personal Support Worker program, you can expect to find employment in a variety of different settings and related fields including hospitals, medical offices, extended care facilities, acute care facilities, group homes and home support work.

    The Programmer Analyst/Internet Solutions Developer program is designed for students wishing to pursue a career maintaining and developing software solutions and applications.  Computer programming for desktop and for distributed database architectures using object-oriented and traditional methods are rapidly growing areas in the information technology industry.

    Programmer Analyst / Web Developer
    Computer programming for database, desktop, distributed, Web, and object-oriented systems is a rapidly growing area in the IT industry. The Programmer Analyst/Web Developer program can help you develop the analysis, computer programming and Web Development skills needed to start a career in this rapidly growing field.   You will be trained to work with Microsoft Visual C#.NET, SQL Server, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Office. You will learn to use HTML, DHTML, VB Script, ASP, XML, ASP.NET, Photoshop, Flash MX (with ActionScript), Dreamweaver MX, and ColdFusion as well.  In addition to developing a solid foundation in programming skills, you will participate in a 200-hour work placement program to fully prepare you for career success.

You will learn about the legal aspects of damage insurance and processing claims as well.  In addition, you will develop exceptional customer service skills and receive hands-on training on the software and computer technology used in the insurance industry. The program prepares you to write the 3 exams of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) in damage insurance for individuals: Automobile, Household and Legislation.
